Eye 2 Eye Appeal

Help our professional colleagues in Zambia save the sight of their patients

eye2eye_logoThe eye department at Frimley Park Hospital has linked up with Kitwe Central Hospital in Zambia as part of the VISION 2020 Link Programme. This is administered by the International Centre for Eye Health to eliminate avoidable blindness worldwide by improving eye care training in the developing world.

Twice a year a team from Kitwe comes to Frimley to learn the latest diagnostic, imaging and surgery techniques. In addition, a Frimley team goes to Kitwe Central Hospital to teach good practice and help develop ophthalmic services and research. In travelling to Zambia, Frimley clinicians gain invaluable experience which benefits NHS patients in the UK.

Our friends in Kitwe are dedicated to improving the lives of the thousands of patients who desperately need their help. We at Frimley Park have made a commitment to support them as much as possible and to help them develop their work, but the link relies on charitable funds to continue.

Donations to the Kitwe Eye 2 Eye Appeal will enable us to develop expert ophthalmic care in Zambia and help to save the sight of many patients there.
