Coming in to hospital

Thank you for choosing Frimley Park Hospital. We sincerely hope that your stay with us will be as pleasant and as comfortable as possible. Our staff are more than happy to discuss any aspect of your care with you, whether it is about the admission process or your care once you leave hospital, so please do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff about any worries or concerns you may have.

The Trust aims to provide the highest level of care possible to all our patients and to ensure your full satisfaction with every aspect of your care and treatment.

Wherever possible we would advise you to ask a relative or friend to accompany you when you come in to hospital. Patients under the age of 16 should be accompanied for certain medical reasons.

Patient transport is provided by the hospital when there is a medical need for assistance. The hospital has produced a patient information leaflet on ways to get here. If you would like a copy sent to you before your admission, please contact our patient transport office on 01276 604131.

Maps and directions to the hospital can be found here.

Please let us know before your stay about any special requirements, such as washing or praying facilities, or if you have a disability.

If you are unable to attend as planned, please let us know as soon as possible on 01276 604613, and cancel any transport if this has been arranged for you.

If you are a smoker, your recovery will be helped if you can stop smoking before you come in to hospital. Help is available from local stop smoking services:

  • Hampshire: 0845 602 4663
  • Surrey: 0845 602 3608
  • Berkshire: 0845 602 4218

You can also find a lot of useful information at www.nhs.uk/smokefree.

Please note that smoking is not allowed anywhere within the hospital or its grounds.
